A NEBULOSA 2.0

Micaela Altamirano was born in 1987 in São Paulo, Brazil. She works as a producer and project coordinator at the intersection of arts, culture, education, and communication. She holds a degree in Communication of the Arts of the Body (PUC-SP, Brazil), a master’s and a doctorate in Communication and Semiotics (PUC-SP, Brazil), as well as a doctorate in Cultural Studies (University of Minho, Portugal). Micaela is an observer and researcher of the dynamics and poetics that emerge in social interactions and in the interplay between body and environment, particularly within everyday public spaces. This interest drives her creative explorations in the arts, whether in collaboration with other artists or through her own projects. In 2024, she directed the short film “O mesmo Sol com que sempre acordei” (The Same Sun I’ve Always Woken Up To), as part of the 16mm film course A Nebulosa, organized by the production company Rua Escura.

Letícia Costelha (b. 1996, Porto) graduated in Fine Arts from FBAUP in 2019. She works as an artist and educator, collaborating on art education projects with cultural associations. She is also part of the educational service team and public program at Sismógrafo. In recent years, she has been actively participating in artist residencies and group exhibitions. Notable highlights include the exhibition “Dez de Pentáculos” at Appleton, Lisbon (2022), and “Ensaios de uma coleção” at Galeria Municipal, Porto. Her 2019 piece “Encontro na rua o que procuro em casa” (I Find in the Street What I Search for at Home) was acquired in 2023 by the Galeria Municipal do Porto Art Collection. In 2024, she is one of the artists selected for FLAD’s “Flechada” – Support for First Individual Exhibitions, a project to be presented at Galeria do Sol in October.

João Salgueiro Baptista (b. 1994). Visual Artist, photographer, factory worker, art handler. Lives and works between Lisbon and Porto, Portugal. Has started making films and to paint. He wants to make a book. Graduated in Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. He has a Master in Artistic Photography from the Institute of Cultural Production and Image. He is part of Atelier Caldeiras where he develops his work.

Sara Morais is dedicated to writing, directing, and editing across various mediums, consistently exploring the body, sound, and vision.

In 2023, she began showcasing the film Tece-Olho-Nu (1h52m) in informal settings, based on her personal experience with silence, psychosis, and the poetic deconstruction of language.

On radio, she has created audio documentaries for RTP/Antena 1 and 2, most notably Histórias de Rios (2012).

For television, she researched and directed the series Terra – histórias da cerâmica (2022) and Jóias, para que vos quero? (2018), both broadcast on RTP2.

She produces and edits videos and podcasts for Teatro do Bairro Alto’s communications and other cultural entities.

Légua – feature film directed by Filipa Reis and João Miller Guerra, selected for the 2023 Cannes Film Festival (La Quinzaine des Cinéastes, screenplay).

Pjotr – feature film to be directed by Aya Koretzky (screenplay).

Silêncios – short film directed by César Pedro (sound design).

As part of the collective Osso, her notable works include: passos em volta do enxerto – a sound and video installation with Joana Braga (2022); 3 Jogos para Alvorninha – a film based on a composition by Diogo Alvim for the Sociedade Filarmónica de Alvorninha (2020); Ecos – experiências de escuta e lugar – a project associated with the Trienal de Arquitectura (2013).

She published the film-book desvio/padrão with Joana Morais, exploring Maria Keil’s tilework (2008).

Sara studied Cinema and Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, later attending the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema and Maumaus.

Currently living in Lisbon, she has previously lived in Madrid, Porto, and the Netherlands.

Rodrigo Neto, painter, poet and fraud was born in Serra da Estrela.

Helena Carneiro has been developing her practice in theatre, cinema, performance, video direction, drawings and graphic work, writing, lyricist and percussionist for the band CAVALA. Teacher of the subjects of Interpretation, Movement and Dramaturgy at High School. Graduated in Theater-Interpretation from the Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo (2012), postgraduate in Performance from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (2017).

Xavier de Miranda was born in 1995 in Guimarães. They dedicate their work to research, facilitation, creation and interpretation in the field of contemporary dance and performance. Since 2018 they have collaborated with artists such as Gustavo Ciríaco, Guilherme de Sousa and Pedro Azevedo (BLUFF), Joana Castro, Daniela Cruz and Nuno Preto, Gil Mac, André Braga and Cláudia Figueiredo (CRL – Central Elétrica), Xana Novais, António Lago and Aura. As a creator, they presented “Zona 1” (TMP – Campo Alegre, Porto, 2019), “Título meramente descritivo ou duas mulheres e uma plateia”, co-created with Sofia Alvernaz (TMP – Campo Alegre, Porto, 2021) and “Ming the Clam and the Immortal Jellyfish (TMP – Campo Alegre, Porto, 2024). In 2024 they premiered their first short film “Fruta do Acaso”, produced by Rua Escura, through the Nebulosa 2.0 course.

I was born in Porto in 2002. I lived there for 22 years. I studied physics in my city. Now I study cognitive sciences in Paris.

My name is Ema da Ponte, I am 21 years old, and I was born on November 1st on São Miguel Island, in the Azores. I grew up in an unconventional family that always allowed me to keep my path open.
From the age of 5, I attended the Regional Conservatory of Ponta Delgada, where I learned to play the cello for eight years. During my childhood, I participated in several projects, including the Big Group in 2009—a jazz improvisation project—and Power of Drum, a social music project, in 2010 and 2011.
I was also a frequent attendee of the Ponta Delgada Film Club, where my father worked, and of Galeria Arco 8, where I performed on several occasions.

I moved to Lisbon in 2020, during the height of COVID, to study Anthropology at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Due to the social and recreational restrictions of the pandemic, I ended up dropping out of the program and returning to my island for a while. During that time, I participated in an episode about my grandmother for the series Mulheres do meu país, directed by Raquel Freire. In September 2021, I returned to Lisbon to begin a degree in Arts and Humanities at the Faculty of Arts, Universidade de Lisboa, which I am still completing. Over the past few years in Lisbon, I have attended extracurricular courses, including an introductory painting course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lisbon and, more recently, the 16mm film course A Nebulosa in Porto.

Amaya Sumpsi is a filmmaker and visual anthropologist. Since 2005, she has been working in ethnographic documentary filmmaking in Portugal, having premiered three feature films to date. In 2022, her latest film, Entre Ilhas, had its commercial release. She is currently working on her first fiction feature film, Ruta 5, a co-production between Spain and Portugal.
