Sara Morais is dedicated to writing, directing, and editing across various mediums, consistently exploring the body, sound, and vision.
In 2023, she began showcasing the film Tece-Olho-Nu (1h52m) in informal settings, based on her personal experience with silence, psychosis, and the poetic deconstruction of language.
On radio, she has created audio documentaries for RTP/Antena 1 and 2, most notably Histórias de Rios (2012).
For television, she researched and directed the series Terra – histórias da cerâmica (2022) and Jóias, para que vos quero? (2018), both broadcast on RTP2.
She produces and edits videos and podcasts for Teatro do Bairro Alto’s communications and other cultural entities.

Silêncios – short film directed by César Pedro (sound design).
As part of the collective Osso, her notable works include: passos em volta do enxerto – a sound and video installation with Joana Braga (2022); 3 Jogos para Alvorninha – a film based on a composition by Diogo Alvim for the Sociedade Filarmónica de Alvorninha (2020); Ecos – experiências de escuta e lugar – a project associated with the Trienal de Arquitectura (2013).
She published the film-book desvio/padrão with Joana Morais, exploring Maria Keil’s tilework (2008).
Sara studied Cinema and Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, later attending the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema and Maumaus.
Currently living in Lisbon, she has previously lived in Madrid, Porto, and the Netherlands.
